Property Meet in London

Our long running London Networking, Property Meet and Seminar Evenings take place only twice a year.

Property Meet in London

The next one is on Weds 7th October 2015, so make sure to catch it.

The doors open to the event at around 530pm and the event will finish at approximately 850pm. Our first speaker is on at around 6pm. (Speaking times and speaking order will be advised on the night).

We will have three great speakers, speaking on topical matters – Tax, Leasehold Properties and the new Right to Rent rules. All have great importance for landlords.

Richard Blanco from the National Landlords Association will explain the very latest on the immigration Right to Rent checks that landlords will have to do. (New penalties and details of the scheme were announced in July ahead of the national roll out).

Plus he will give a quick update of any other regulatory type changes effecting landlords since our last seminar in March.

Richard is a London representative of the NLA, a regular speaker on TV about landlord issues and an experienced London landlord in his own right.

Alex Greenslade of Leasehold Solutions will look at how to spot the type of flats that you should avoid buying – those that will mean much toil and trouble!

Alex is chairman of Leasehold Solutions. He has wide experience of managing leasehold enfranchisement projects and is founder and secretary of the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners (ALEP) as well as being Chairman of Leasehold Valuers LLP and Leasehold Law LLP.

Stephen Fay of Fylde Tax Accountants will look at how the July budget really changed  things for landlords and possible “work-arounds” of the new tax regime.

Stephen is a well known commentator on landlords’ tax issues and is frequently quoted in the press.

In addition, there will be a new special session, where any attendee can stand up for up to 40 seconds and tell attendees who they are, what they offer or what they are looking for – this might be property in a certain area, a sourcing service, insurance – it does not matter. Each person will be kept to strictly 40 seconds.

These are small events and very informal. The accent is  networking and learning about buying and letting residential property and the business of buy to let plus the practicalities of being a successful landlord from leading experts.

Speaking order will be set on the night.

There will be short breaks between speakers which gives attendees a great opportunity to ask me and also our speakers questions and to learn from and share knowledge with other attendees.

The events suit new and very experienced landlords alike as well as those thinking of getting into the business of being a landlord for the first time too.

As usual with our seminars you’ll get factual and useful information – there will be no exhortations to achieve “financial freedom” in just a year or two.
