Landlords Meeting & Property Seminar with LettingFocus on Tuesday

If you have not already booked, don’t miss our Evening Seminar Event for landlords on Tues 9 March starting at 530pm.
We have anywhere between 20 and 30 people at these events which tend to be fun and informal and now only take place twice a year.
The attendees are always a mix of friendly experienced and novice landlords.
As usual, we will have guest speakers along including James Davis of Online letting portal UPAD, speaking about how to “Avoid the Void.”
Plus there will be another speaker too.
And there will be lots of opportunities to ask me about a range of property letting and investing topics.
Though it will be a busy event, there will be some time for networking during the course of the evening.
We open at 530pm.
The first talk is at about 630pm and we will end at about 9pm at the latest.

Payment is on the night - £30 if you email to reserve a place before lunchtime Tuesday or £35 otherwise. Hurry - there are just 8 places left.

Accidental Landlords - Ever Wondered Why Your Tenant Does Not Trust You?

You are a nice landlord. You do things by the book but you always feel your tenant does not trust you.
Have you ever had that feeling?
The reason could be that they have suffered at the hands of a bad landlord before.
Now and again I come face to face with amateurish landlords.
Our child minder's landlord is clearly one of these amateurs who clearly thinks that Rachmanist landlord practices are still OK.
This guy told my childminder she had to go this week because he was selling the property.
He had "mentioned" before he was going to do this apparently.
No formal two months notice in writing from this guy!
So, the poor lady is struggling to move out as an emergency yesterday and I'm left holding the baby (literally) as she had to cancel the childminding duty to move.
Sadly, there are still a lot of these idiot bullying landlords about - which is maybe why your tenant is cooler towards you then you would like.
In other words, they have had a bad experience before.
And it's because of the activities of people like this chap, that the government has bought in tenancy deposit schemes (which start 6th April) and why decent landlords have to suffer for the sins of the idiots among us.

We also show you how to manage tenants properly.
